Overstrand Executive Mayor, Dr Annelie Rabie, has welcomed learners and teachers back after the school holiday and wished all the learners and staff a happy and productive start to the third term.

“On behalf of Overstrand Municipality, I extend best wishes and congratulations to the newly appointed Principal of Hermanus High School, Mike Smuts.”

“We are fortunate to have good schools and committed teachers in the Overstrand, and we look forward to welcoming him and his family to Hermanus as he commences duty at the start of the new school term.”

Mayor Rabie also commended the good work and positive change that Principals Carine Fortuin of Gansbaai Academia and Lucelle Poole of Hawston Secondary School introduced.

They were appointed as principals in January and May of this year.
